Server
reliability and effective network connection speed is very important
in choosing a web host. For your viewers to be able to see your web page
and send you email, not only to they have to be connected to the internet,
but your web and email server have to be able to quickly and reliably
transfer your data. The term bandwidth is used to measure how
fast your web server can transmit your web data onto the internet to
get it going to your
reader's computer.
It's critical for a web server computer to have redundant network connections
to the internet and have those connections be the highest speed possible.
You
can trust your web site to our server:
-
Reliability
-
24/7
Server Monitoring
-
Server
reliability exceeds 99.5% - If we have to schedule preventitive
maintenance or a software upgrade, we do it after midnight
to have the least impact.
-
Redundant
Power Supply System provides clean, consistent power via Switchgear™
components
-
UPS (uninterruptable power system) battery units, multiple power
source feeds, and diesel generator backups all ensure a constant
supply of power to the facility
-
Equipment
upgrades and maintenance are typically performed with no service
interruption because of the extensive redundancy built in to our
network center.
- Bandwidth
(transfer/access speed to/from the internet)
-
Redundant
Internet Connections allow access to and from
the internet via four backbone providers (Verio,
Williams, Digex, and Cognet) using full GigE connections which
are huge fiber connections from the largest and most trusted providers
around.
-
The
router connections (BGP4) find the fastest route to your site,
and
if one internet backbone provider should happen to fail for a
few seconds, data is automatically routed around the failure
to provide
uninterrupted service. Our datacenter runs the Border Gateway
Protocol (BGP4) for best-case routing of your information.
The BGP4 protocol
is a standard that allows for the routing of packets of information
sent out from our network. Each packet of information is evaluated
and sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant
network architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes
even if they are being delivered to the same end user. Should
one
of our providers fail, packets leaving our network are automatically
redirected through another route via a different provider.
- Each
server can easily handle heavy traffic due to the state-of-the-art
network strategies used.
-
Security
-
The
Data Center is located in one of the 2 main "Telco Hotel" vaults
in Atlanta, Georgia USA with protected access to the internet
backbones
-
Our
facility is built from the ground up specifically for ISP(Internet
Service Provider) and NOC (Network Operations Center) usage,
and is not just a converted office building. The NOC has over
800 servers with a large cache of spare parts and on-site 24/7
technical hardware support that monitors all aspects of server
and network operation.
-
In
additional to the 24/7 on-site security staff, access is
controlled by state-of-the-art identification systems, including
a biometrics hand scanner and card reader. We enjoy the
highest quality of power and security in the area
